| Light pours through a stained glass window, illuminating a shadowy figure in the darkness. Feathers and fur and something magic, she knows more than she lets on.
I wanted to draw a winged cat, but I wanted to do something more than that. I had a lot of fun playing with all the different textures on this one, the fur, feathers, glass and stone all together made it a challenging piece to do. Especially getting the knotwork in the fur to look like a part of the fur and not something floating over the surface. This is another pen and ink, watercolor and colored pencil painting. 11x17 on cold press illustration board. I discovered while working on this one that I enjoy hot pressed board much more as a working surface. Prints available soon.
