| A mage dressed in green is surrounded by a brown knotwork gateway. A nighttime sky shows through the gate, and the mage conjures a starlight swirl. This piece is very popular in the wintertime, and it seems to carry a sense of stillness and renewal.
This piece was my first real digital piece. I completed an ink drawing of it, then scanned it and digitally colored it, trying carefully to avoid that "digital look". The coloring took something like 24 hours. Mostly because I was using a mouse, and working at a large size. I have, since then, bought a stylus and tablet (Yay Wacom!) and my hands have thanked me ever since. I don't even own a mouse anymore.
