15x20" watercolor and colored pencil. I'm still playing around with colors I'm not used to working in, and trying to achieve depth and realism in the painting. This is from the old pen and ink named "Fool's Quest" that I did in 2002. I've been wanting to paint it for a while now.
There's hardly any knotwork in this one at all. Just the tiniest smidge on his arm.
>p>The pieces are shown in reverse order. The top one being the final, the middle being when I THOUGHT I was done, before I realized I needed more foreground objects, and the bottom being the original pen and ink.
Original Pen & Ink is 11x14" and was done with a steel "crowquill" and inkpot technique.
